Cleanse Thine Ears

Cleanse thine ears, little one,
Of the jibber jabber the tall ones speak.
It is not real.

Listen to the wind.
Soft.
Rushing over mountains of blue thunder.
And the droplets of song
That spray from waters on rocky shores.

Look to the green things,
The earthy things.
Listen!
They are deep, and real, and true.
They last.

Remember.
The shallow whispers that issue from
The tall ones' lips
can be snatched away by the wind,
Or lost in the water's song,
But the earth's wisdom will always be with you.
